A drizzle cake made with loads of fresh lemons and ground almonds. Maybe the best looking one in the gang. This gluten free chap has a side line of modelling as his green pistachios make him extremely photogenic. But beneath the pretty looks there’s some serious personality and character. He’s sophisticated with a sharp sense of humour.

Delivery and info

Delivered next day via DPD if ordered before 2pm (excluding Highlands and islands - we deliver to Mainland UK only and deliveries to Highlands take 2 days). Orders shipped Monday to Friday. We charge £3.95 per delivery and offer free delivery for all orders over £25. There is an additional £10 fee for Saturday delivery.

Please note that letterbox brownies are delivered via Royal Mail, however we can't guarantee items to be delivered through a letterbox. DPD deliveries will not be left at the door for security reasons. If the recipient isn't present, the parcel will be taken to the nearest collection point. Delivery times are out of our control and DPD may deliver up until 6pm. If you need your cakes to arrive before 12pm, please get in touch info@expodingbakery.com for a customised quote.

Deliveries arrive ambient and can be refrigerated or frozen on arrival.

Cake Sent as A Thank You Gift.

I chose the Lemon Polenta and Pistachio Cake to send to friends as I really like it and knew that they like fruit flavours.They were delighted by the "unsual gift" and thoroughly enjoyed the cake. The couple said it was delicious and had eaten it all within 4 days!!
I'd like to say a big thank you to Mirjam for heIping me to make my purchase. I was having a problem doing so and she responded very quickly to my email, helping me to successfully submit my order for next day delivery. This needed to be on the Saturday, when we knew our friends would be at home. I obviously paid the additional fee for this Service, was a little "nervous" about Royal Mail (bearing in mind criticism in the Press) but must say that I was very impressed; the cake was delivered on the Saturday morning.

Tasted very 'pastey'

I'm sorry to say there was little flavour and too much texture of a paste like consistency. I threw it out.

Lovely moist zingy cake with lots of lemon. Loved the crumbled pistachio on top. A rich and quite weighty cake so you don't need big portions. Generous size and beautifully packaged.
