Delivery and info

Delivered next day via DPD if ordered before 2pm (excluding Highlands and islands - we deliver to Mainland UK only and deliveries to Highlands take 2 days). Orders shipped Monday to Friday. We charge £3.95 per delivery and offer free delivery for all orders over £25. There is an additional £10 fee for Saturday delivery.

Please note that letterbox brownies are delivered via Royal Mail, however we can't guarantee items to be delivered through a letterbox. DPD deliveries will not be left at the door for security reasons. If the recipient isn't present, the parcel will be taken to the nearest collection point. Delivery times are out of our control and DPD may deliver up until 6pm. If you need your cakes to arrive before 12pm, please get in touch info@expodingbakery.com for a customised quote.

Deliveries arrive ambient and can be refrigerated or frozen on arrival.

Don’t trust a chosen delivery date

The content of the parcel was good and well received although it arrived a day late. This was really disappointing and what was worse was the customer service when I contacted The Exploding Bakery to find out when the parcel would be delivered I was told that it was up to DPD when the parcel would be delivered. So what was the point of choosing a particular date when it can’t be guaranteed. The person I spoke to couldn’t comprehend what I was asking him. I wont use this service again.

Tin, book and cake!

Bought the set as above and was delighted with everything I received. The coffee and walnut tray bake was so delicious I had to get half of it into the freezer pronto before I polished the whole thing off! Can’t wait to try some of the recipes in the beautiful cookery book.

Nice Recipes

Had this book for a few weeks now and love it so much I bought a couple of copies as gifts. The idea of using different shaped tins for the same recipe is a great idea. Such fun.

FAQs

Do you have a minimum order?
We don't but we offer free shipping on orders over £100. Some of our distributors do. You can find their details on the Trade page.
Where do you ship and do you do same day shipping?
We ship to mainland UK only as we want to make sure your cake arrives super quick and fresh. We only offer next day delivery (2 day delivery to Highlands) if the order has been placed before 2pm. We deliver Tuesday-Saturday. Saturday delivery has an additional £10 fee. You can also choose a future delivery date provided it falls between Tuesday-Saturday.
What if I'm not in?
No problem. You can choose a safe place for your delivery driver to leave your order, then collect it when you get home. It's really easy to do this, here's how: When placing your order DPD will send you a tracking link where you can add delivery instructions. DPD will also send you a delivery time window on the day so you'll know when to expect your brownie to arrive. Please note that our brownies have a very long shelf life and will keep fresh even if you have missed a delivery. If you haven't left instructions and miss a delivery, DPD will either automatically deliver the next day or take your item to a neaby shop where you can collect it.
