Falcon’s been making iconic enamelware since 1920, and their kit is practically indestructible. That's perfect for us, because cake should be eaten off something solid, not off a sad, bendy paper plate.

We’re now stocking Falcon enamel cake plates (ideal for our traybake slices or for an aggressively large slice of Chocolate Fudge Cake) and their Pillarbox Red cake stand, which is as sturdy as it is stylish. Falcon is such an established brand, what's your proudest moment over the years?
One of our proudest moments was the successful revitalisation of Falcon Enamelware in 2011. Taking a classic British brand and evolving it with modern colours and designs while preserving its heritage was a milestone. Seeing Falcon expand globally, now sold in over 50 countries, has been incredibly rewarding. Another standout moment is the way our products have been embraced by chefs, home cooks, and designers worldwide, proving that timeless quality never goes out of style.
What makes Falcon enamelware so durable?
Falcon Enamelware is crafted from heavy-gauge steel coated with porcelain enamel, making it incredibly strong. Unlike ceramic or glass, it won’t shatter if dropped, though it may chip, it remains entirely functional. It’s dishwasher-safe, oven-safe up to 270°C, and suitable for use on gas and electric hobs. This combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern durability ensures that Falcon pieces last for generations. It also makes it incredibly sustainable. You buy it once and you won't have to again. We had contact with a customer who sadly lost her home in the LA fires but when she went back to her house it was still there. A testament to its strength, however devastating that was!
What are your top 3 best selling products?
It’s always hard to pick favourites, but our customers definitely have theirs. The Jug is a classic. Whether it’s used for serving drinks, holding flowers, or just sitting pretty on a shelf. The Tumbler is another must-have; it’s super versatile and perfect for everything from morning coffee to evening cocktails. And of course, the Bake Set is a kitchen staple. Practical, timeless, and built to last. These pieces really capture what Falcon is all about: durability, functionality, and great design.
Is there a collaboration that was particularly memorable and why?
Two particularly memorable collaborations have been with Rukmini Iyer and Emily Scott. Rukmini, known for her Roasting Tin series, has a deep appreciation for high-quality cookware, making our enamelware a natural fit for her simple yet elegant recipes. Emily Scott, a renowned chef celebrated for her coastal-inspired cooking, brings a warmth and authenticity that aligns perfectly with Falcon’s timeless appeal. These partnerships highlight how our products seamlessly integrate into both professional and home kitchens, inspiring people to cook and share meals.
How would you describe the brand alignment between Exploding Bakery and Falcon?
In terms of literal alignment it's funny because we know that Exploding Bakery has been operating since 2011 and that is when Falcon was revitalised, even though it has been a British heritage brand since the 20s. So in that way our journey is following a similar time frame. But one of the biggest things for us both is how colour is such a massive part of both our brand identities. For us it all starts with colour. We just love the colour combos in your shoots and all your marketing. Another thing is the act of eating and coming together. We love the shareable nature of so many of your bakes and so many of our vessels are designed for sharing and celebrating.
Can you share your personal favourite recipe that can be made in one of the Falcon dishes?
Our Pie dishes are arguably one of our most iconic products and something that has become the perfect freezer to oven to table to dishwasher vessel.
