Exploding Bakery X Evrythng Christmas Cocktail Recipe
We know. This festive cocktail recipe has nothing to do with cake. But it has everything to do with the great Christmas Spirit (literally).

This festive season, we (a.k.a. the self declared Heads of Naughty), Evrything Spirits and Exploding Bakery, have teamed up to bring you an explosively fun giveaway.
But because only one lucky soul can win the prize, we’re handing out a little consolation gift that’ll still leave you feeling smug: a festive cocktail recipe that that's boozy, spicy and enough flavour to start a conga line at your kitchen table and it might knock your nan off her chair.
Evrythng Not-For-Profit Vodka and Winter Spiced Tonic
|
You'll need:
- Evrythng Not-For-Profit Vodka
- Sugar
- 1 Star Anise
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 5 Cardamom pods
- 1 lemon and 1 orange peel
- 4to 5 bay leaves
Here’s a great festive season drink that you can serve to guests as they arrive to your party. It’s light, the perfect aperitif and lets you show off some of you kitchen skills with things you are likely to find in the cupboard.
1) Spiced simple syrup. In a pan add 200g of sugar (any will do, but avoid any too heavy with molasses), 200ml of water, 1 star anise, 2 sticks of cinnamon, 5 cardamom pods, the peel of one lemon and one orange, 4 or 5 bays leaves (fresh or dried). Simmer for 20 minutes and allow to cool completely.
2) Strain your simple syrup through a fine sieve.
3) Over ice, build 50ml of Evrythng Not-For-Profit Vodka, 25ml of your spiced simple syrup, 50ml of Indian tonic water, 50ml of very fizzy soda water. Stir gently to combine the syrup and serve with an orange wheel or slice.
Enjoy and Get Merry!
