FoodCycle is a charity that fights food waste and tackles food poverty by collecting surplus food from supermarkets and local businesses. They use this rescued food to cook nutritious, community meals for anyone who needs it, helping to bring people together and reduce social isolation. We detest any kind of waste and are constantly thinking of ways to be more sustainable so it makes sense to turn waste into something wonderful whilst supporting your local communities.

Here, at Exploding Bakery we donate some of our cakes and traybakes to our local FoodCycle in Exeter and in the past, we’ve had the honour of whipping up our collaboration Christmas Brownies—where for every one sold, we donated a three-course meal to FoodCycle.

To celebrate FoodCycle's recent birthday and the World Food Day, we will be donating a Brownie and Tea Gift Box as one of prizes for FoodCycle's World Food Day Raffle.  They also have other, amazing prizes lined up such as:

  • Afternoon Tea for two at the Langham Hotel, London
  • £60 voucher from Active Outdoors (Bath/Bristol) that can be used for canoeing, kayaking, SUP or Axethrowing
  • Bundle of foodie treats from Mission Kitchen
  • £50 voucher from COOK
  • And many more!

If you'd like to be part of a good cause and take part in Food Cycle's raffle to win this prize or other goodies, please head over here.  It’s just £2 per entry and you can enter as many times as you want! The raffle closes on the 31st October.
