Plastic pollution is a growing problem that's having a devastating impact on our planet, and we believe that it's our responsibility as a business to do our part in reducing it. That's why we have eliminated single-use plastic from our packaging and are exploring alternative materials that are biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable.

We use sustainable paper bags and boxes for our cakes, and we're constantly looking for ways to improve our packaging to make it even better. For example, we're exploring the use of plant-based materials for our packaging, such as sugarcane and potato starch, which are renewable resources and can be composted or recycled. We are proud to be working with a sustainable company called Freckl. The quality of the packaging is second to none, but not only does it look good, it's all recyclable and printed in the UK using water based, planet friendly inks .

In addition to our packaging, we're also committed to reducing our environmental impact in other areas of our business. We source our ingredients locally whenever possible, which reduces transportation emissions and supports local farmers. We also work with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.

We've also invested in an electric company van that we're really excited about! If you see a pink, EB branded electric van whizzing by then give us a wave. Our car is likely to be full of cake so you never know, might get yourself a treat?

At The Exploding Bakery, we believe that businesses have a responsibility to take action on environmental issues, and we're proud to be doing our part. We know that our customers care about the environment, and we're committed to providing them with delicious treats that they can enjoy guilt-free.

Our commitment to plastic-free packaging is just one part of our larger commitment to reducing our environmental impact. We're constantly exploring new ways to make our business more sustainable and we're proud to be part of the growing movement towards a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future.
