New Exploding Bakery Recipe Book: Bake It Easy
Just when we swore we’d never write a book again, the universe laughed and handed us another chance of giving it a go. So here we are, launching ‘Bake It Easy’ in March 2025. Maybe we can now officially start adding ‘published author’ to our email signatures.

Things were finally starting to fall in place at our bakery. Our production kitchen was buzzing, forklifts zooming around with pallets stacked high with cake, and boxes flying out to every corner of the UK. We had big dreams of expanding our production so we marched across the forecourt, claimed a new unit, and turned it into a massive storage facility. If we gained more space, we could also invest in a bigger oven.
Whilst we were knee-deep in blueprints and logistics, we somehow managed to write a recipe book: ‘Bake It, Slice It, Eat It’. We were dubious. Would people really be interested in one tin cake recipes? Would it end up collecting dust in the discount section of a bookshop? The book was published in 2022 and it became our bestselling item on our website for the next 2 years.

And then came the call for book number 2. Uh Oh. We were still feeling the traumas of writing the last one, hiding in our garden sheds after work hours, trying to get some peace and quiet from overly needy pets and the constant machinery hum from the bakery. The timing was less than ideal: we were just having tons of building work done and a brand new gas rack oven that no one knew how to operate. At the same time a new book was just the distraction we needed to escape the mundane bakery installation drawing plans. Hell, let's do it!
Bake It Easy is all about going back to basics, featuring simple, affordable, and quick-to-make recipes, proving that baking can be a piece of cake.
All of the 50 recipes require just one baking tin or tray, with many bakes featuring as little as four ingredients and most taking only 30 minutes to get oven-ready. Precision and perfection aren’t required - this cookbook is designed for busy home cooks looking for easy recipes that won’t break the bank. Ingredients are often simple and rely on pantry staples that are likely already on hand.
